World Statistics Day 2020

An introduction to the third World Statistics Day

The United Nations General Assembly had designated 20 October 2010 as the first World Statistics Day to acknowledge the importance of reliable and timely statistics to informed policy decisions, and had further decided to celebrate the World Statistics Day every five years on 20 October.  The third World Statistics Day is commemorated on 20 October 2020 and the theme is "Connecting the world with data we can trust", highlighting the importance of reliable data in understanding and keeping abreast of the international developments.
