Participation in the 2020 Virtual United Nations World Data Forum

Representatives of the Census and Statistics Department attended the 2020 Virtual United Nations World Data Forum held during 19 to 21 October 2020.  The forum brought together statisticians, economists, data experts and scientists from various sectors (including governments, private sector, academia, international and regional agencies) to support the implementation of the United Nations’ Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals.  At the forum, participants showcased practical solutions and hands-on experiences on the compilation of statistics for policy making and addressing pressing issues faced by the statistical communities, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic.
