Microdata teaching file of Population Census/By-census with lower level of detail may serve as a useful educational tool. Departments of local academic institutions may apply for the access to the microdata teaching file to C&SD for educational purposes. Applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis. If an application is approved, the management of the department concerned must sign an undertaking with C&SD that requires them to comply with various conditions in using the microdata teaching file. In particular, the microdata teaching file must be intended for class demonstration or course work only.
