In today's digital era, the Census and Statistics Department (C&SD) is leveraging data science and artificial intelligence (AI) techniques to enhance our statistical services, with a view to improving the relevance, accuracy and timeliness of official statistics. These technological advancements enable us to operate more cost-effectively through streamlining our processes and optimising resource allocation, and at the same time reducing the burden of respondents in responding to statistical surveys.

In addition, C&SD actively collaborates with other Government Bureaux and Departments to share our knowledge and experience in adopting data science and AI, and to assist them in developing relevant applications in their work. This collaborative approach contributes to the broader development of data-driven decision-making across the public sector.
