The enquiry service provided by our department through the Commodity Code Enquiry Hotline at 3178 8933 has been terminated starting from 2 January 2026 PM. The commodity code enquiry service provided by our department through the Import / Export Declaration and Cargo Manifest Enquiry Hotline at 2877 1818 has also been terminated simultaneously. For enquiries on commodity code, you may submit an enquiry through the online enquiry form; or e-mail a completed Commodity Code Enquiry Form (in fillable PDF format only) to tc_1@censtatd.gov.hk.
For lodging import/export declarations in Hong Kong, the commodities have to be coded in 8-digit Hong Kong Harmonized System (HKHS) codes.
