Abstract

A round of THS was carried out during February to May 2008 to collect information on health-related topics, including the health status of Hong Kong residents; their patterns with respect to doctor consultation, hospitalisation and dental consultation; the provision of medical benefits by employers / companies and the coverage of medical insurance purchased by individuals. Information pertaining to the knowledge, attitude and practice of having medical checkups by Hong Kong residents aged 15 and over was also collected in the survey. Major findings in respect of the above topics are presented in this report.
