Abstract

This publication is the forty-fifth issue in a series of Special Topics Reports. It presents the findings of a special topic enquiry on "Benefits of employees under the Employment Ordinance" conducted via the General Household Survey during January to March 2006. The enquiry aimed at providing information on the characteristics (e.g. age, sex, industry and occupation currently engaged in) of employees working in the non-government sector, the existing employment benefits provided to them by their employers, and the patterns of sick leave and maternity leave taken by them.
