Abstract

This publication is the forty-first issue in a series of Special Topics Reports. It presents the findings of a special topic enquiry on "Desire of economically inactive persons for taking up jobs if being offered suitable employment" conducted via the General Household Survey during October to December 2004. The enquiry aimed at providing information on the characteristics of persons aged 15 and over who were economically inactive at the time of enumeration but were willing to take up jobs if being offered suitable employment, their past working experience in Hong Kong and their preferred conditions in respect of the desired job.
