Abstract

This publication is the thirty-third issue in a series of Special Topics Reports. It presents the results of three special topic enquiries conducted via the General Household Survey during April to June 2002, viz.  (1) The enquiry "Casual employment" : presenting information on the characteristics and employment situation pertaining to casual employees (i.e. employees who were employed by an employer on a day-to-day basis or for a fixed period of less than 60 days);  (2) The enquiry "Part-time employment" : presenting information on the characteristics and employment situation pertaining to part-time employees; and (3) The enquiry "Hong Kong residents working in the mainland of China" : presenting information on the characteristics of Hong Kong residents who had worked in the mainland of China during the twelve months before enumeration and their working conditions in the mainland of China.
