| Abstract |
This publication is the twenty-ninth issue in a series of Special Topics Reports to present the results of the special topic enquiries conducted via the General Household Survey. This publication presents the findings of the following three special topic enquiries. The enquiry on "worker displacement" was conducted during October-December 2000 to obtain information on the characteristics of displaced workers. Basic demographic and socio-economic profiles of the displaced workers and the characteristics of their lost job were presented.The enquiry on "job-changing of employed persons" was conducted during October-December 2000 to collect information on the characteristics of job-changers. Basic demographic and socio-economic profiles of job-changers, the number of times of job changes, reason for changing last job and the information of their last job were presented.The enquiry on "meal breaks and rest breaks of employees during working hours" was conducted during January-February 2001 to collect information on the patterns of meal breaks and rest breaks taken by employees in the private sector during working hours. Basic demographic and socio-economic profiles of these persons, the information of their meal / rest breaks and the reason for not having meal/rest breaks during working hours were presented.
