Abstract

The Establishment Survey on Manpower Training and Job Skills Requirements was conducted by the Census and Statistics Department during April to July 2000 under the auspices of the Education and Manpower Bureau.
This report presents employers' views on business prospects over the medium to longer term, future manpower requirements and occupational mix, possible impacts of Hong Kong's economic restructuring on business turnover and employment, aspirations towards China's accession to World Trade Organisation, and training requirements for their employees.
