Abstract

This article analyses the demographic and socio-economic characteristics of the population at mid-2004 at the District Council district level. These statistics are primarily based on data collected in the General Household Survey during May to August 2004, covering the land-based non-institutional population of Hong Kong (which constitutes some 99% of the Hong Kong Resident Population).
