Abstract
This article aims to give an overview of the drug abuse situation in 2002. Drug abuse has for many years been a problem of concern to society. The Central Registry of Drug Abuse (CRDA) currently maintained by the Security Bureau of the Government Secretariat collects, collates and analyses information on drug abuse for the purpose of monitoring changes in trends of drug abuse and characteristics of the local drug abusers. In 2001, a major review of the CRDA was conducted. Actions are being taken to follow up on the implementation of the recommendations with a view to bringing about improvements.
