Abstract

This publication presents detailed annual statistics on the operating characteristics and structure of the construction industry; architectural, surveying and project engineering services; and real estate services which help readers perform in-depth analysis on the industries. This publication is one of the reports releasing detailed sectoral statistics from the Census and Statistics Department. Each report covers some selected industries and other reports in this series include Report on Annual Survey of Wholesale, Retail and Import and Export Trades, Restaurants and Hotels; Report on Annual Survey of Transport and Related Services; Report on Annual Surveys of Storage, Communication, Banking, Financing, Insurance and Business Services; and Report on Annual Survey of Industrial Production. Complementing each other, together they form a comprehensive series of statistical references on different economic sectors of Hong Kong. Starting from the survey reference period of 2009, the Annual Survey of Building, Construction and Real Estate Sectors has been integrated with the related surveys to form the new Annual Survey of Economic Activities. The relevant statistics are published in Key Statistics on Business Performance and Operating Characteristics of the Building, Construction and Real Estate Sectors.
