Abstract

This publication presents quarterly indices to show up-to-date trends of producer prices in industrial sector. The producer prices indices are useful as deflator for discounting the effect of price changes in production value when measuring the changes of local industrial output in real terms. This publication together with the Key Statistics on Business Performance and Operating Characteristics of the Industrial Sector and Quarterly Index of Industrial Production form a series of annual and quarterly publications which facilitate readers to analyse the performance of the industrial sector in Hong Kong from different perspective.
