Abstract

This publication is issued annually to provide a brief report on the work and development of the Government Statistical Service, which comprises the Census and Statistics Department and statistical units established in various government departments and bureaux.

It also provides an account of recent statistical developments regarding a number of social and economic aspects, including : Population            Health Labour Social Welfare Commerce and Industry Law and Order Prices and Household Expenditure Transport External Trade Food and Environmental Hygiene National Income and Balance of Payments Leisure and Cultural Services Money, Banking and Finance Water Supplies Strategic Planning The Environment Education Topical Studies Housing
