The date schedule for issuing regular press releases of statistical data in the ensuing year is issued to the mass media in end September of each year. This section gives the schedule for the period September 2011 to December 2012. Press releases for regular statistical information are issued to the media at 4:30 p.m. Hong Kong time (i.e. GMT 08:30) on the pre-announced scheduled date and posted to this website shortly afterwards.

(2)An advance preliminary Gross Domestic Product (GDP) estimates will be released along with the Budget Speech on 1 February 2012. Only figures for major expenditure components of GDP will be released in the context of the advance preliminary estimates. The preliminary estimates of GDP for the fourth quarter of 2011 and the whole year of 2011 will be released on 22 February 2012 in the Quarterly Gross Domestic Product Report, which can be downloaded from the website of the Census and Statistics Department.
