Statistics on inward and outward movements of cargoes include the corresponding flows/transactions between the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the mainland of China. 

Statistics in tables of the Cargo Statistics do not include transit cargo. Cargo discharged includes imports and inward transhipment, and cargo loaded includes exports (domestic exports and re-exports) and outward transhipment.
